Biking statistics:
- Rode 20 miles in Fruita, CO, on Friday
- Rode 21 miles (all rock) in Moab, UT, on Saturday
- Rode 20 miles (mostly sand) in Moab, UT, on Sunday
- Rode 12 miles (some sand) in Moab, UT, on Monday
- Rick's first time in Utah (another state to the list).
- Moab had a hotrod convention over the weekend. Everyone in town pulled out their folding chair and just sat along main street and watched the hotrods drive up and down for pretty much 3 days straight. Even to the point of grilling out and taking pictures. It was cool checking out the cars as they were parked though. Dave educated Mike and Rick on old-school hotrods!
- Riding the Slick Rock trail is like riding glue. Tires just stick to the rocks and you can pretty much climb anything (if you have the legs to climb it of course =).
- All of us learned very quickly that riding in sand sucks!!!
