Snowmobile: Trip to MI (Jan 2002)

Friday:
- Arrived in Silver city around 5:30pm
- Rode for 12 miles (in the dark)
- Trails had lots of water holes, so decided to wait until Saturday's daylight
- Got on the trail around 9:00am
- Rode for 90 miles
- Checked out the "Lake Above the Clouds"
- Rode a trail that came to an abrupt end -- had to turn all four sleds around
- Came across a HUGE water hole and decided to head back for the day
- This was the first time Rick got stuck
- Got on the trail around 9:00am again
- Rode for 131 miles
- Decided to head the same way as Saturday and cross the HUGE water hole
- Rode on some AWESOME trails that wound thru the woods
- Also did about 5 miles of nothing but WHOOPS -- needless to say, we were all tired
- This was the first time Mark, Rachelle and Mike got stuck
- And this was the second time Rick got stuck -- different spot though =)
- Had some beautiful night riding with clear skies and a bright moon
- Mark and Rachelle packed up and headed home
- Mike and Rick were on the trail around 9:30am
- Rode for 125 miles
- Decided to head down around Lake Gogebic
- Rode on some CRAPPY and AWESOME trails throughout the day
- Also saw a few deer cross our path -- made us start watching a little more
- This was the third (and final) time Rick got stuck
- Mike and Rick packed up and headed home
